AT&T DMD Terminal Utilities

This directory contains drivers and utilities necessary to use the AT&T DMD 5620 “Blit” terminal.

These images are straight sector-by-sector copies of original floppies. If you wish to write them to physical diskettes again, you can use the dd utility in UNIX or Linux, or the ImageDisk utility in DOS.

Physically, diskettes are two-side 80 track 96tpi DS/DD media using 250kbps MFM encoding, 9 sectors per track, 3:1 interleave.

These utilities were made for UNIX System V Release 1 and 2, and provide a version of the DMD XT driver that is NOT compatible with System V Release 3! In order to use these utilities with System V Release 3, you must install the “AT&T Windowing Utilities” package from the appropriate version of the operating system AFTER you have installed these packages.
